The color of your character can mean a lot in Among Us, because often people will accuse you based on it. Your name isn’t always viewable when you might be up to no good, so players will frequently make their accusations according to color. If you aren’t really sure how to describe the color, this can be an issue because it will take up valuable time, instead of getting to accuse the right person!
What does cyan mean?
If you’re curious what cyan means, it pretty much means light blue. It’s a greenish-blue color, that is comparable to teal or aqua. If you aren’t sure how to pronounce it, you say it like “sigh-anne”, if you were to put it into other words. This is a word that many people don’t seem familiar with, so players might get confused when they are seeking to accuse or defend themselves during a meeting!
The problem mainly lies with the fact that there is another blue character in the game, so if you just say blue instead of cyan, you might be accusing the wrong person. It’s best to make sure you have a word picked out for what you are going to call the cyan character, so that you don’t confuse others!
I would say you are pretty safe to use the word teal to get your point across. Other players might be confused by “cyan”, so using it could just cause issues. As the game gets older, more and more people will start to understand what it means and should come around to it. With the game being relatively fresh to most players, you are probably better off just using the word teal!
