Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl, the upcoming remakes of the classic Nintendo DS games, have a release date. Fans of the franchise will return to the Sinnoh region on Nov. 19, 2021.

Announced by the Pokémon Company and Nintendo on each company’s respective Twitter accounts, both remakes are expected to launch side-by-side. Each game will be sold separately for $59.99 or players can purchase Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl together as a Double Pack for $119.00. All purchasing options launch on the same day.

The Pokémon Company has faithfully remade both versions of the classic Nintendo DS titles (Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl) released in 2007. In Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, the Sinnoh region has been carefully preserved in a familiar, yet updated fashion that implements a new chibi art style.

Players will once again choose from one of three starter Pokémon: Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup. Along the journey players will encounter locations like the mighty Mount Coronet along with legendary Pokémon Dialga and Palkia. The game culminates in challenging the Pokémon League and becoming the Champion of the Sinnoh region. Both remakes appear to play close to the original titles and it is unknown what new surprises might be in store for returning players at this time.

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl are available for both physical and digital preorder now.
