If you are wondering what the new power level cap is for the Witch Queen Expansion, it is currently unknown. In short, Bungie has not released any information regarding the power level increase on any of their social media channels.
Because of this, we imagine that we will not know anything for sure regarding the power level cap and when it increases until the weeks before the Witch Queen’s launch. However, based on history with past Destiny 2 expansions, we can guess that the power level cap would be something around 1400 to 1500.
The reason is that the power level cap has always gone up around 200 with every major expansion, so it would make sense for it to increase again by the same amount.
Of course, some leaks and rumors are going around the Power level cap will be something around 1700, which is somewhat plausible. For example, the “leaked 1700” could be the power level players could gain with an artifact if the level is around 1600.
However, it’s important to take leaks with a grain of salt, and it’s better to go off of history. That said, we recommend setting your sights on a power level somewhere around 1500 or above when Destiny 2’s new expansion rolls around.
