Although Capcom’s E3 2021 presentation was brief, the company made sure to highlight some exciting content from the upcoming Great Ace Attorney: Chronicles game. The title includes two gameplay features that are new to the Great Ace Attorney franchise: Dance of Deduction and Summation Examination.

Dance of Deduction

When faced with a confounding situation, Herlock Sholmes (yes, that is his real name) will use his logic to deduce the likeliest case. You will then “waltz around the crime scene with Herlock” and course correct the eccentric detective’s initial reasoning by applying your own keen eye to the scene, pointing out inconsistencies in Herlock’s ideas and steering your group towards the real truth.

Summation Examination

The second new feature is based in the London courtrooms, where you must try to sway the jury onto your side. The color-coded scale dictates whether the verdict will be “guilty” or “innocent,” and whichever side the jurors agree with will gain weight. You’ll need to pit conflicting findings against one another to convince the jury of your logic.

The Great Ace Attorney: Chronicles is available for pre-order now and will release on July 27, 2021 on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Steam.
