Sculk Shrieker is a trigger that summons The Warden. During the 1.19 Wild update on June 6, 2022, the Sculk Shrieker was added to Java and Bedrock editions of Minecraft. They look like an aqua/emerald-colored block with white blocks shooting upward out of it.
How do I activate a Sculk Shrieker in Minecraft?
Sculk Shriekers are activated by stepping on them or walking near them. After shrieking for four seconds, it will have a cooldown of five seconds. Sculk Shriekers increase your warning level by one each time they are activated. Regardless of where you step on the Sculk Shrieker, your warning level increases, and stacks. Your warning level decreases by one every 10 minutes. All nearby players will be affected by darkness for 12 seconds whenever the Sculk Shrieker is activated. The darkness makes your vision darker.
How many times do I have to press the Sculk Shrieker for a Warden to appear?
Wardens will appear when your warning level reaches 4. You cannot spawn a Warden within 48 blocks of another one, and the light level must be very low. Wardens have 500 health and can use ranged or melee attacks. Wardens will not spawn from Sculk Shriekers placed by the player or spawned by the Sculk Catalyst. Wardens can only be created by randomly generated Sculk Shriekers.
Where to find a Sculk Shrieker in Minecraft
The only place you can find Sculk Shriekers is in the Deep Dark Biome, including the Ancient City. Once you start seeing Sculk blocks and other blocks with an aqua/emerald color, you’ll know you’re getting close to a Sculk Shrieker. If you use a Sculk Catalyst, you also have a 1% chance of getting a Sculk Shrieker.
Where do I get a Sculk Catalyst?
Sculk catalysts can be found in chests in the Deep Dark Biome or Ancient City. They can also be looted by Wardens. You can use the Sculk Catalyst for turning blocks around it into Sculk blocks.
How do I mine a Sculk Shrieker?
Sculk Shriekers can be mined with any tool, but hoes are the fastest. To mine the Sculk Shrieker, you will need a tool enchanted with Silk Touch, otherwise, it drops five experience when mined without Silk Touch.
