Monster Hunter Rise has an array of powerful foes for players to tackle, and some beasts are more durable than others. The Diablos, known as the Tyrant of the Desert, populates arid areas and uses its massive horns as its sword and shield. Be sure to study up on this creature before you head into the field. When fighting this beast, it’s good to know what it’s weak against or where to inflict that good old damage to slaughter the foe quickly. So here are Diablos’ weaknesses, resistances, and drop rates.

Diablos Elemental Weakness
The main weakness of this is ice, but if you have dragon or water weapons, those are good alternatives, even if they aren’t as impactful. Thunder weapons are not very effective in the battle against Diablos, so avoid them if you can. Do not use fire weaponry on the Diablos, as this monster is immune to fire damage. Here are the locations where you should attack Diablos for extra elemental damage.
Aim your attacks at the Head, Horn, Abdomen, Back, Wing, and Tail Tip when fighting Diablos, as these regions are where it’s most vulnerable.
Diablos Location Weakness
If you are not wielding an elemental weapon, you want to attack places where you deal extra damage. These places on a monster differentiate depending on the weapon type you use—Cutting, Impact, or Shot.

Resistances and Ailments
Diablos is resistant to many of Monster Hunter Rise’s ailments, but the following ailment type is exceptionally effective—Paralysis. Other ailments impact the Diablos, like Blast and Iceblight, but they aren’t as strong as Paralysis. Diablos is immune to Stun damage, so avoid using a weapon that prioritizes this ailment.

Depending on your quest, you can get different rewards to forge armor and weapons, but each has a drop rate percentage, ultimately RNG. It is pure luck what you receive.
