GhostWire: Tokyo, The latest game from developer Tango Gameworks places you into the shoes of Akito, fighting off otherwordly spirits after all the other humans in the city have vanished. The game is set in an open world, and as with other open-world games, you must clear the fog covering parts of the map. Players can do this by Cleansing Corrupted Torii Gates.
As players are traversing around the city of Tokyo and fighting off evil spirits, they will stumble upon a Torii Gate. However, this Torii Gate has been corrupted, marked by the blue glow all around it. Players must cleanse the Corrupted Torii Gate in order to clear the dense fog covering a portion of the map around the gate.
Players will need to defeat an enemy that is protecting the gate before they will be able to cleanse it. Once defeated, players can cleanse the blue glow away from the gate, clearing the fog around them. Several Corrupted Torii Gates all over Tokyo will need to be cleansed. Some of the gates vary in size, with the larger ones being protected by tougher enemies. All of the gates will need to be cleansed to clear the sinister fog.
So there you have it, that is what Corrupted Torii Gates are in GhostWire: Tokyo. The former Evil Within developers seem to be stepping out of their comfort zone with this game, though not too far as horror elements can still be found throughout.
