What are Catch Cards in Pokemon Go?
The new catch card feature in Pokemon GO is a great way to share your captured Pokemon with friends and family. Also, the catch card includes the image of the Pokemon, the location where it was captured, and the date of capture. If it is recently taken, you can also share the catch card in Niantic’s Campfire app. This is a great way to show off your most recent catches and discover more about where certain Pokemon can be found.
In default, the Pokemon will appear in the Card in its natural habitat in the background, and you will see the exact posture you see on the Pokedex. So, it will appear with any unique costume it wears and badges such as a best friend badge.
Also, remember you can take the Catch card of Shadow and Purified Pokémon only by taking AR snapshots, and any Pokemon you trade can not be taken to the Card.
This feature has been designed only to share the image of your Captured Pokemon with your friends and family. So this card type is not a collectible item such as Postcard.
