Monster Hunter Rise has many monsters and enemies for players to fight as they make their way through the game’s campaign. The game’s beasts are formidable, and few monsters are as durable as the Basarios, a Flying Wyvern made out of rock. Ensure you know what to bring to battle when facing this formidable foe.
When fighting this beast, it’s good to know what it’s weak against or where to inflict that good old damage to slaughter the foe quickly. So here’s Basarios’s weaknesses, resistances, and drop rates.
All Basarios Weaknesses
Basarios Elemental Weakness
The main weakness of the Basarios is dragon, but if you have water, that is an excellent second option. Unlike most monsters in Monster Hunter Rise, Basarios has no element it nullifies, so all elements are practical while fire, thunder, and ice aren’t the best options. Here are the locations where you should attack X for extra elemental damage.
Those using dragon and water weapons should focus their attacks on the Head, Lower Neck, Back, Wing, Lower Tail, and Tail Tip. If you’re using fire, thunder, or ice, your attacks will have the same damage output nowhere you strike.
Basarios Location Weakness
If you are not wielding an elemental weapon, you want to attack places where you deal extra damage. These places on a monster differentiate depending on the weapon type you use—Cutting, Impact, or Shot.
- If using a cutting weapon focus on the tail.If using a blunt weapon focus on the abdomen and legs.If using a bow weapon focus on shooting the abdomen and legs.
Basarios Resistances and Ailments
If you aim to inflict an ailment on Basarios, you’ll want to use Sleep as this ailment is the most effective. Blast and Waterblight are also impactful, though they aren’t as helpful as the Sleep ailment on Basarios. Grab some fast attacking weapons like the Dual Blades with these elements to inflict ailments quickly.
Basarios Drop Rates - Carves, Capturing & Breaking
Depending on your quest, you can get different rewards to forge armor and weapons, but each has a drop rate percentage, ultimately RNG. It is pure luck what you receive.
