For the past few months, we’ve been getting teasers and trailers for the newest HBO shows. One of those shows happens to be a spin-off of beloved comic mini-series/half-way decent movie, Watchmen. Alan Moore, Creator of Watchmen and possible Warlock, has gone on to say that he “isn’t thrilled” about the idea of his comic being adapted to the small screen.

In the past, Alan Moore hasn’t really been receptive or supportive to his works being translated to the big screen or even the fact that DC has been making a comic spin-off of his series. But that won’t stop Watchmen showrunner Damon Lindelof, who has nothing but respect for Moore and even has called him a genius in the past. He’s gone on record to saying he respects Mr. Moore so much that when he heard about Moore’s reservations about the show, Lindelof responded with this (via TVLine),

Even since his retirement from the comic industry, Alan Moore has been at odds with DC Comics about its spin-off of the series called Doomsday Clock. Even going as far as stating that if people would stop buying the comics, they would stop publishing them and the rights would go back to the comic’s creators. On the other end of that spectrum, the Watchmen co-creator and artist David Gibbons is reportedly excited about the idea of The Watchmen being adapted to an HBO series and can’t wait to see what they do with the property, stating (Via Entertainment Weekly),
