Despite having waited patiently to catch up to last and current gen platforms, those lining up behind Nintendo are not only getting this open-world experience several months late, but now they will be missing out on new content such as the Bad Blood DLC starring T-Bone. Unsurprisingly, many people have taken to Twitter to voice their concerns, with a majority agreeing that Ubisoft should have made up for the delay with more content, not less.
Sadly, this is not the first time that Wii U players have seen content cut from their version. Batman: Arkham Origins cancelled its planned season pass content for the game, which came as a second blow following the missing multiplayer component. Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, another Ubisoft title, was also a victim of missing DLC. It has been an unfortunate, common issue facing the Wii U for some time now and it doesn’t look like it will change any time soon.
The best that can be hoped for at this point is a Game of the Year Edition for Watch Dogs that will bundle all DLC on disc at some point in the future on Nintendo’s newest system. We’ll be sure to post any updates if Ubisoft responds to the fans about their decision.
