Ubisoft has released a new gameplay walkthrough for the multiplayer component of Watch Dogs. The open-world game makes use of a seamlessly integrated multiplayer in the single player universe that Aiden resides in.
Watch Dogs players will be able to connect with other players by Online Hacking Contracts, CTOS Mobile Companion App, and Competitive Decryption Combat. Exploring the single player world of Watch Dogs will open up opportunities for online play, much like we’ve seen in games like Dark Souls with its invasion system.
While many of the recent previews that were written on Watch Dogs claim that the game isn’t necessarily re-inventing the open world genre (Polygon, CVG, Eurogamer), multiplayer and its suite of options are looking much different than anything we’ve seen before.
Watch Dogs is due to arrive on May 27th.
