Ubisoft’s favorite spring time release period.
With Assassin’s Creed appearing to be taking the year off again, people were speculating forever that we’d finally get a third Watch Dogs game this year in its place. After many leaks and rumors as of recent, Ubisoft confirmed the title of Watch Dogs Legion last week. During their E3 conference, they have now given the game its grand reveal, complete with a release date.
As has been teased for years now, Watch Dogs Legion takes place in London. However, this world in Watch Dogs Legion is much more dystopian than we’re used to from the previous two games in the series. Extremists have taken over the town, so hackers have now taken over as part of a resistance with multiple playable characters.
The darker tone definitely felt much more like the first game in some ways than the over the top sequel, but there’s still some comedy to be found in the dialogue for sure here.
During the big reveal to kick off the Ubisoft 2019 E3 conference, it was revealed that Watch Dogs Legion will be coming on March 6, 2020. This fits right in the slot that games like The Division 2 and Ghost Recon Wildlands have filled in recent years, which has been a good release spot for Ubisoft.
