Watch Dogs: Legion is the third installment into the Watch Dogs franchise and it has finally been released today. Perhaps the most ambitious part of Watch Dogs: Legion is that it will feature not one protagonist, but many. You will run around London recruiting NPCs to join DedSec. But for those looking for a multiplayer experience in their game, they are going to have to wait just a bit longer.

When Is Multiplayer Coming Out In Watch Dogs: Legion

Watch Dogs: Legion’s multiplayer will be coming out on December 3 rather than accompanying the game’s release. This will be a free update for all players and will bring with it several new features. The multiplayer has groups of four players explore the game’s open-world with the co-op feature. But for those looking for more dynamic features, tactical ops will be added as well.

Tactical ops are essentially heist missions available for a group of four players. Depending on the mission, players will have to choose their characters wisely. The team’s abilities must complement each other for the mission to go off without a hitch. Given the rich and diverse cast of NPCs, the amount of combinations that can be assembled is a sight to see in Watch Dogs: Legion.

While the Watch Dogs: Legion update on December 3 will feature the regular co-op multiplayer you would expect, it also features a few PvP modes for those who want to test their skills against each other. These two modes are called Spider-Bot Arena and Invasion. Spider-Bot Arena will pit four to eight players against each other using the game’s new spider-bots. Think of the robot death matches we’d all love to see.

Invasion, on the other hand, is similar to the invaders in the Dark Souls franchise. However, these invaders are out to steal the player’s data rather than their lives. The ‘invader’ will be disguised as an NPC and will attempt to steal data without being caught. This is a fan-favorite of the series, returning once again for Watch Dogs: Legion.

Though this update won’t come for another two months, the wait will be worth it. Once that update drops, be on the lookout for some guides on the Spider-Bot Arena and Invasion.
