The developers of Watch Dogs recently sat down with Sony to discuss the differences that players will experience when playing the upcoming open-world title on the PlayStation 4. In the developer conversation, Ubisoft’s Dominic Guay and Jonathan Morin discuss the next-gen hardware, and what it means for their game.
They say that Watch Dogs is completely scalable, and the PlayStation 4 version of the game will be a bigger and better version. “If you play Watch Dogs on PlayStation 4, we want to use all of the console’s capability,” explains Dominic Guay, a Senior Producer on the game.
Those capabilities appear to be geared more towards the PS4’s social elements. Jonathan Morin, Creative Director on Watch Dogs explains that the different connectivity levels for the PlayStation 4 provide an even better gameplay experience. The share features of the new console allow for players to create unique moments within the Watch Dogs game world and share them friends. Morin also briefly talks about the potential to always be connected in Watch Dogs, even when away from the PS4, players can access the game world via mobile devices.
