The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 release date is scheduled for October 28th, and so far, there is little official information about the new shooter game. However, the latest news about Modern Warfare 2 doesn’t come from developer Infinity Ward. Activision removed some screenshots taken in Warzone Mobile after alleged a “DMCA” violation.

Modern Warfare 2 Maps Removed After Activision Complained

Many pictures reportedly from Modern Warfare 2 and a few from Call of Duty 2024 were shared on the Twitter account, which has been deleted. According to reports, the source of images was a Warzone Mobile development build. Although the posts on the Twitter account were deleted, the photos of the Modern Warfare 2 map were re-uploaded to Imgur – you can see the maps and their names.

The Grand Prix location is the name of the first multiplayer map graphic. It takes place around a racing circuit, as the name and graphics imply. The second, Oilfield, is also self-explanatory. The third map image is known as Museum. However, it is unclear whether this refers only to the exterior of the building or whether most of the map will be located inside. And another map, with the codename Saba, was also shared, but little information is available regarding its location.

In addition to these rumors, images that appear to be from Black Ops 5 have also been revealed. The leak suggests that the game may have occurred during the Gulf War. Activision has announced the release date of Call of Duty: MW2 as of October 28th, 2022.
