Warhammer: Vermintide 2 truly offers a unique spot in the co-op genre, with hordes of rats and a squad of ragtag heroes from Warhammer’s “End Times” era offering a lot of unique gameplay opportunities. The base game is a blast to play, having spent upwards of 40 hours in the game myself, and the DLCs that go alongside it are extra special as well. If you’re a console player and feel left out on some of the recent DLC though, no need to fret. Today, Fatshark is happy to announce that PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will be getting fresh Warhammer: Vermintide 2 DLCs that have proved highly successful on PC.

On the Xbox One side of things, Vermintide 2 is bringing the Sister of the Thorn career for Kerillian, one of the most popular to date for the team. This career sees everyone’s favorite elven archer utilize the dark magic of the forest to her benefit. Her career skill, Thornwake, lets her conjure a thorn wall that slows enemies who enter it for up to six seconds. And her passive ability, A Cluster of Radiants, lets her get a free use of Thornwake every 60 seconds. Like other careers, Sister of the Thorn includes various basic passives as well. A crowd-control-based class can be a great option if you’re team lacks a tanky Bardin or Markus, or to simply draw damage away from your friends.

For our PlayStation 4 friends, you get not only that career, but the Vermintide 2 Chaos Wastes update that PC and Xbox One have seen previously. This is a game-changer for Vermintide 2, offering a rogue-like of sorts that sees you get various passives based on your chosen class and career. Having done a good few runs of this myself, I can vouch that there’s a lot of fun to be had, especially for fans of that genre. Even if not, the new gear and content is sure to satisfy regardless.

Are you excited about any of this Vermintide 2 content? If so, what particularly excites you? Let me know!
