Warframe had its yearly Tennocon event not too long ago, showing off all to expect in the coming year for Warframe. Needless to say, one of the biggest reveals was the upcoming Heart of Deimos expansion, taking a more grotesque look at Warframe. It brings a lot of new, infested themed content which is sure to gross out and excite players. I’m excited to say the wait for that update is now over. The Heart of Deimos update is now available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One! It will be available on Nintendo Switch later this week. You can find a trailer for the update below.
What is Warframe’s Heart of Deimos Update?
Heart of Deimos introduces the moon of Deimos for players to explore, with the open-world being known as the Cambion Drift. This is the third open-world section in Warframe, preceded by Orb Vallis and the Plains of Eidolon. Compared to those two though, Cambion Drift is an infested moon that has a lot of nasty creatures hiding around every corner. There’ll be many secrets to explore, so even seasoned Warframe players will have to search carefully. On this moon, you’ll find an ancient race of Orokin known as the Entrati, their purpose is up to you to discover.
It wouldn’t be a Warframe update though without a new frame to customize and level. This time around, we get Xaku. Xaku is a broken Warframe, using the pieces of others to shape around its Void skeleton. The frame was designed by the community and should be fun for those looking for something unique. Joining that is the Helminth system, which has a lot of moving parts but can let you move abilities between frames. Want one of Titania’s abilities on Rhino? You can do that now.
These are joined by a myriad of changes, those of which we can’t go into here. If you want details on that, you can find them in the official update blog post. We’d love to hear your thoughts on the update though. Does Warframe’s Heart of Deimos already catch your eye? What are your thoughts on the new frame?
