For those who have waited an eternity for Warcraft III: Reforged, rest easy. It’s finally coming next month.
In a new blog post today, Blizzard confirmed that the long-awaited recreation of Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos and The Frozen Throne will arrive on PC starting at 3pm PDT on Jan. 28, 2020.
The company explained the reason for the game’s mild delay. “Though we’ve been working hard to get Reforged in your hands before the end of the year, as we started approaching the finish line, we felt we’d need a little extra development time for finishing touches,” it said. “As always, our goal is to honor the high standards you hold us to.”
The game will reintroduce the real-time strategy gameplay fans have come to expect from the series, along with a fresh coat of remastered paint, seven single player campaigns that span across 60 different missions, and rebalanced online play with a number of social and matchmaking features. There will also be several player-created games to choose from, along with a snazzy new World Editor.
The standard edition of the game is available for pre-order on the Blizzard Shop for $29.99. However, there’s a Spoils of War edition for $10 more. It includes with the following bonus skins:
- Champion of the Horde Thrall Hero Skin
