WandaVision has given us all manner of surprises. From its sitcom format to its surprising twists, it’s truly transcended the traditional formats of storytelling we’ve previously seen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But there’s one twist that nobody could’ve seen coming – the chemistry between Jimmy Woo and Darcy Lewis.

This unlikely but strangely enjoyable duo first joined forces in WandaVision‘s fourth episode. The pair uncovered the truth behind Wanda’s delusions and attempted to make contact with her. Unfortunately, their attempts were in vain. However, they did successfully manage to shake up the internet in the best possible way.

Fans adored the pair and enthused about them to no end on Twitter. Calls were made for a Jimmy Woo-Darcy Lewis spin-off in the same vein as The X-Files. And writer Stephen Ford, after making a now-viral pitch on Twitter, is making an official pitch to Marvel regarding the potential series.

But another question remains – are the actors themselves interested? Luckily, we can answer that with a resounding ‘yes’. In a recent interview with Extra, Kat Dennings, who plays Darcy Lewis in WandaVision and the first two Thor movies, expressed enthusiasm regarding the hypothetical project. “Oh boy, I’m in! I’m in,” she said, before adding, “If it happens, I’ll be there.”

Dennings stated she “heard rumblings” of ideas concerning the potential spin-off. However, she said she would take it “with a grain of salt”. Regardless, she is excited at the prospect of working with Randall Park again. Park himself, who plays Jimmy Woo, agreed that the idea was “amazing”. So, at the very least, we know the two potential main leads are willing to step up to the plate.

Regardless of whether we see a Woo-Lewis spin-off, WandaVision continues to enjoy critical acclaim in media outlets. The show has a 93% critics approval rating and 78% audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The show’s sixth episode out of the total nine is due to release February 12, 2021 on Disney Plus.
