This Detective is in Need of a Voodoo-Hoodoo Adventure
Welcome to New Ginen, a welcoming paradise for tourists all around the world. But in the business of mysterious hocus-pocus, there’s always something in the air. Enter the Voodoo Detective, a hero who greatly pays homage to classic point-and-click games such as King’s Quest and Monkey Island. One day, he comes into contact with Mary Fontule, who needs the detective’s help. However, she suffers from amnesia, thus snowballing this new case into something much bigger at hand. Throw in hand-drawn animations, voice acting, and some comedy, and you get Short Sleeve Studio’s Voodoo Detective. You can check out the trailer for the game right here to get an idea of who this hero is.
In addition to the hand-drawn animations and point-and-click mechanics, Voodoo Detective will have an original composition from Peter McConnell; he’s well-known for composing various Star Wars projects, Grim Fandango, Psychonauts, and many more.
