Vivo launched its first Snapdragon 712-powered smartphone, the Vivo Z1 Pro, in India recently. It’s a sweet budget offering with a punch-hole display and triple rear cameras, which is called Vivo Z5x in China. Thus, the Chinese giant has today launched sort-of a sibling for this device in its home country.
Vivo Z5 has been priced starting at 1,598 yuan (roughly Rs 16,000) for the base variant with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage. You can find the pricing details for all other variants right here, as there are a lot of them:
The Vivo Z5 will be available in three vibrant color variants – namely Aurora Illusion (purple), Holographic Illusion (pearl white), and Bamboo Forest Night (green).
Much like any other smartphone launching these days, the Vivo Z5 also brings along a vibrant and reflective gradient finish on the rear panel. There’s only a triple rear camera setup here, which makes the design feel clean and minimal. The fingerprint scanner has been moved under the display, in line with most trendy smartphones today.
It runs Android 9 Pie-based FunTouchOS out-of-the-box, which packs a ton of interesting features. Vivo Z5 comes packed with a massive 4,500mAh battery and support for 22.5W fast-charging called FlashCharge out-of-the-box. It packs a USB Type-C port and 3.5mm headphone jack as well. This makes the budget device lot more attractive for the masses who want to quickly juice up their device before running out for work.
