Last year Vampire Survivors surprised us as one of the best indie games of 2022. Such was the impact that the game was nominated for Best Indie Studio Debut at The Game Awards. This roguelike game combines minimalist gameplay with survival aspects that everybody loves. During that year, we got a plethora of updates, and we even got a DLC. Said DLC was quite cheap and packed with content. Now, 2023 is bound to surprise many as well. A “Weird and Big” update, as they are calling it, is set to release for Vampire Survivors soon. We can expect more characters, weapons, and hopefully, more stages too.
The “Weird And Big” Update Might Arrive soon to Vampire Survivors
The developer of Vampire Survivors, Luca ‘Poncle’ Galante, has explained what to expect in the future. During an official wrap-up of 2022, the developer took time to talk about everything that had happened since the game’s release. Besides that, he shared with us the plan he has for this year which includes the launch of new content. However, these DLCs may take longer to arrive because they are prioritizing expanding to all platforms. All we can do is be patient about this, but we know that the game has delivered every promise and more.

Galante also talked about the success of the Legacy of the Moonspell DLC and said there is a lot more coming. Also, among what may be clues, he might intend to send us to other worlds. Fans have speculated that these new additions to Vampire Survivor may be a new map. With the news about the “Weird and Big” update coming to Vampire Survivors, everyone’s speculating. However, no details are out there yet for us to try and guess. For now, the only thing we can do is wait for the release of the beta and continue playing this addictive game.
