McCoy-Oni is a playable character in the Legacy of the Moonspell of Vampire Survivors who follows the DLC’s Japanese-style theme as a raccoon dog, also referred to as a tanuki. McCoy-Oni’s starting weapon is 108 Bocce, an armament that functions similarly to Garlic, offering decent damage to any enemy mob near the player character. 108 Bocce also generates several floating beads that orbit around McCoy-Oni, making it an excellent starter weapon to defeat the hordes of weaker enemies during the first few minutes of a stage run. To unlock this new weapon and character in Vampire Survivors: Legacy of the Moonspell, players must evolve specific armament.

Unlocking McCoy-Oni in Vampire Survivors: Legacy of the Moonspell requires players to evolve Mirage Robe, the starting weapon of Babi-Onna. Accordingly, players will need first to know how to unlock Babi-Onna in the Legacy of the Moonspell DLC if they wish to get McCoy-Oni.

How to get Celestial Dusting in Vampire Survivors

According to the Vampire Survivors Wiki, Babi-Onna is acquired by evolving the Summon Night, the starting weapon of Syuuto Moonspell. This prerequisite chain continues as Syuuto Moonspell is obtained by evolving Four Seasons, Menya Moonspell’s starting weapon. This all leads back to the Miang Moonspell, the DLC character unlocked by finding her Coffin within the dojo of Mt. Moonspell. Miang Moonspell’s starting weapon is Silver Wind, which evolves into Festive Winds with Pummarola upon reaching max level. Once this initial prerequisite has been met, the prerequisite chain can begin. In summary, Babi-Onna will become available once players have unlocked the evolved the starting weapons of Syuuto Moonspell, Menya Moonspell, and Miang Moonspell.

Finally, after getting Babi-Onna, players must evolve her Mirage Robe into J’Odore by maxing the weapon’s level and acquiring a Passive Item known as the Attractorb. The Attractorb is an item from the base game that has a slight chance of dropping from light sources once players have reached Level 12, according to the Vampire Survivors Wiki. Once players have fully leveled the Attractorb to Level 5 while playing as a character equipped with a maxed-out Mirage Robe, McCoy-Oni will finally become purchasable in the Character Selection screen in Vampire Survivors.
