Hurry Mode is a Stage-altering mode in Vampire Survivors that causes the in-game time to elapse twice as fast. Specifically, the 30-minute series of events that occur in a Stage will happen at double the speed, meaning that players will reach the 30-minute mark within only 15 minutes in real-time. While Hurry Mode is a time saver for those who do not wish to wait through the entire Stage, this experience also serves as a challenge mode, causing enemies and bosses to spawn much faster than average. To compensate for the chaos a sped-up Stage timer entails, players will receive a 25% XP gain bonus for all characters.

Unlocking Hurry Mode in Vampire Survivors

To unlock Hurry Mode in Vampire Survivors, players will need a Relic called the Sorceress’ Tears. This Relic permanently enables the toggle for Hurry Mode in the Stage Selection menu. Unlike Hyper Mode, players do not need to complete any particular prerequisite for Hurry Mode to become available, as the Sorceress’ Tears unlocks the mode for all Stages.

How to Get the Yellow Sign in Vampire Survivors

The Sorceress’ Tears is a Relic in Vampire Survivors that can be found in Gallo Tower, the fourth normal Stage of the game. Players can access the tower once they have reached Level 60 in the Dairy Plant. For newcomers, the Dairy Plant becomes accessible after a Survivor attains Level 40 in the Inlaid Library, the Stage unlocked at Level 20 in the Mad Forest. To encounter Sorceress’ Tears in Gallo Tower, fans must travel southward in the vertical corridor, following the green arrow that appears on-screen after spawning. Suppose players struggle to find the Relic, even with guidance from the arrow. In that case, Survivors are encouraged to unlock the Milky Way Map and use it to navigate directly to the Sorceress’ Tears.

Based on gameplay footage by YouTuber Teelore, it should take around 40 seconds to a minute to encounter the Sorceress’ Tears in Vampire Survivors. While the Relic can be taken without any requirements, it is guarded by several enemy mobs surrounding the item. Nevertheless, players focused only on unlocking Hurry Mode in Vampire Survivors can walk past these mobs and pick up the Sorceress’ Tears without effort.
