Valve may have pulled the cruelest April Fool’s joke of them all in 2012, as the company greeted Steam users with the image above, this weekend.  Obviously GladOS is calling the shots as the webmaster in charge of Valve’s Steam web presence.  I mean how else can you explain the utter discontent that some may have had when they saw the fake announcement.

Taking it one step further, if you happened to click on the announcement, you were taken to a confirmation page wishing you a happy April 1st.

There has been a ton of speculation about when Valve will finally announce Half-Life 3, and with so much build up of anticipation from the community, it’s safe to say that there will be a tad bit more marketing involved when the game finally does get announced.
