Remember those unusual hats that Valve offered to its Team Fortress 2 Community to help raise money for the Japanese Disaster Relief Fund? The fundraiser was a success, raising almost half a million dollars for the worthy cause. On the Team Fortress 2 Blog the tallies were released for the charity drive.

Nice work, everyone! We’re excited to share that, thanks to the generosity of the TF community, in two short weeks we managed to collect $430,543.65 for the Japanese disaster relief fund. It’s been inspiring to watch gamers around the world come together for such a worthy cause.

If you missed out on giving to the cause, the hats were a limited edition run.  However, there are still plenty of ways that you can give to the cause.  Bungie is also raising money for the relief effort by selling wristbands, or of course you could just donate directly to the Red Cross.
