Valve has recently announced another new feature for their ever-expanding Steam Network. Steam Music will allow users to listen to their music collections while playing games, completely integrated into the Steam experience. After pointing Steam to your music directory, you’ll be able to play music through your Steam library.

Once synced with Steam, you can view music by albums and tracks, set-up a music queue, or interact with the library via your controller’s guide button.

While playing games, the music player is accessible via the Steam overlay, much like the other functionality already built into the system.

Steam Music is getting set to enter beta. For more details about the program, head to the Steam Music Community Group.
