Valorant Episode 3 Act 1 is scheduled to start on Jan. 12, 2022, and fans are eager to see the new Agent Neon joining the roster. Categorized as a Duelist, Neon breezes past her opponents with lightning speed and electrifying abilities.
Her abilities are designed to quickly advance to the spike site by blocking enemy vision. Neon’s ultimate ability allows the Agent to shoot thunderbolts from her fingers, reminding the community of Emperor Palpatine from Star Wars. Here are all of Neon’s abilities explained.
High Gear - E
Neon holsters her weapon and instantly channels her lightning speed to run across the map. This ability gradually diminishes Neon’s energy counter, and can only be used once the energy is regenerated. Players can also use the alternate fire option (right-click) to slide into areas using High Gear. Neon cannot fire her weapon during sprinting as there is a slight animation delay that follows High Gear.
Cost: Free. Slide recharges with two eliminations.
Relay Bolt - Q
Neon throws an energy blast that concusses her opponent. The concussion charge bounces on contact, and essentially blinds two angles at once. Neon cannot use this ability while sprinting, but it can be executed while sliding. Relay Bolt concusses any player trapped in its radius, teammate and opponents alike.
Cost: 200 credits for a single relay bolt.
Fast Lane - C
Neon creates two walls of electricity that completely blocks opponents’ vision. Players have to look at the desired direction to raise the walls properly. Opponents passing through the walls will take damage, but it has no effect on teammates. Fast Lane doesn’t heal Neon, unlike Phoenix’s wall.
Cost: 300 credits
Overdrive (Ultimate) - X
Neon overcharges and accesses the full range of her abilities. She starts shooting bolts of thunder from her fingers which is lethal at any range. The ability recharges with every elimination, and Neon moves with High Gear speed throughout the duration of her ultimate.
Cost: Seven ult orbs
Indeed, the force is strong with the new Agent and experts have already found several wall tricks that players can implement to advance towards a better position. It will be interesting to see if Riot Games patches any of these wall exploits before Neon officially joins the Valorant roster on Jan. 12, 2022.
