Valorant has been coming out with many, many updates that players have been enjoying. From checking out the new map Pearl to even some of the more recent agents, players are more than excited to check everything out. Before you can do that, you of course need to get into the game. That seems to recently be causing several players more headache than usual, due to a new error code plaguing certain launches. This error is Error Code 19, and it’s becoming a staple issue for many Valorant players. If you find yourself getting frustrated by this issue, no need to worry. In this guide, we’ll let you know how to fix Error Code 19 in Valorant.

How to Fix Error Code 19 in Valorant

Getting down to what seems to be the root cause of the issue, it seems to be due to a bad bootup of Riot Vanguard, Riot’s custom anti-cheat software. To fix this issue, you simply need to kill all programs relating to Valorant or Riot Games then start up the game again. This should launch things fresh and should take care of the problem outright. To do so, open up Task Manager by right-clicking the Windows icon in the bottom left and then selecting Task Manager. From there, expand the details on the Task Manager, then find all Riot/Vanguard/Valorant processes and End Task on them.

Now if this doesn’t work, you can try fully restarting your system. This will naturally reset everything and should do the same only on a much grander scale. It’s possible something could be on that Task Manager can’t detect which is causing the issues described. If all that doesn’t work, you may just have to uninstall and reinstall the game due to something corrupting. Hopefully, it doesn’t come to that, although thankfully Valorant isn’t a large game.

Valorant is available exclusively on PC.
