Valheim‘s new Hearth & Home Update introduces a host of unique building options and decorations for players’ homes, among which is the all-new Crystal Wall. It is an embellishing “ice-cube-like” building block that players will be able to use in creative ways, such as a window. As expected, Valheim players will need Crystals to craft the walls, and farming this resource is certainly easier said than done. Located in the Mountain biome, players must ensure they are adequately equipped and combat-worthy before collecting Crystals. Continue reading to learn how to make Crystal Walls in Valheim.

How to Make Crystal Walls in Valheim

To make Crystal Walls in Valheim, players will need to travel to the frigid and perilous Mountain biome in search of Stone Golems. This large, intimidating enemy will drop Crystals upon being slain, which is the material required for crafting Crystal Walls. However, be wary, as these formidable foes are sure to not go down without a fight.

Before making the journey to the Mountains in Valheim, make sure the player character has enough frost-resistant clothing, such as Wolf Armor. Additionally, brewing some Frost Resistance Mead will prove very beneficial with its 10-minute buff that staves away the cold. Players should be aware that the Stone Golems aren’t the only dangers in the snowy regions, for the area also spawns Wolves, Drakes, and Fenrings.

When encountering a Stone Golem in Valheim, it’s recommended for players to attack it with a pickaxe. The Stone Golem has a significant amount of health and has a level of high defense against most weapons types. However, it has a weakness to pierce damage, making it quite vulnerable to strikes with a pickaxe. Players who are competent in their abilities can take advantage of higher terrain by jumping atop a Stone Golem and smashing it to death from above. This method isn’t easy, so those less confident in head-to-head combat can take on the golems in a more gradual way with piercing arrow attacks with a bow.
