As any fan of open-world games knows, grinding for resources can be a time-consuming task. This is no exception with V Rising, the newest addition to this genre where gamers are newly awakened Vampires on a quest to build their perfect castle. To complete that task, fans will need to gather plenty of materials to fortify their structure and craft items to make world exploration much easier. Cotton in V Rising, in particular, is used to build better armor to raise players’ defense. So for fans looking for efficient ways to harvest this material, here is where to farm cotton yarn in V Rising.

V Rising Cotton Farming Locations

There are seven places that are great V Rising Cotton Farming Locations. There are plenty of areas called “Cotton Farms” throughout the world where players can pick up raw cotton in a growing field. The Dunley Farmlands region of the map has a ton of these. Aside from that, the Dunely Lumber Mill also has some cotton, but not as much as the farms. However, fans can also gather other essential materials at the mill, such as horses and copper ingots, and knock out two birds with one stone.

How to Turn Cotton into Cotton Yarn

Once players are done farming in V Rising, they will need to convert all the raw cotton into cotton yarn. This can be done by building a loom within the players’ castle. Gamers will be able to craft a loom after they defeat Beatrice the Tailor located in Dawnbreak Village. The loom requires 20 planks, 12 Copper Ingots, and 4 Wool Threads to build.

Once the loom is made and players make their cotton yarn, they can take the new materials over to the Tailoring Bench to create an assortment of equipment, including the Hunter’s Cloak, Hollowfang Chestguard, Hollowfang Leggings, Hollowfang Boots, and Hollowfang Gloves.

V Rising Hollowfang Battlegear is helpful in getting players ready for the much harder bosses later in the game. Additionally, players should unlock the Chaos Barrier and Merciless Charge powers after defeating Quincy the Bandit King. Chaos Barrier blocks all frontal attacks for two seconds while also dealing some projectile damage as well. Merciless Charge is a great AoE attack that deals 125% damage and stuns enemies.

V Rising is available as Early Access for PC via Steam.
