V Rising is a very popular new action-survival game developed by Swedish Stunlock Studios that features large crafting, trading, and resource gathering elements in its mechanics. Silver Coins are a valuable currency found in the world of V Rising. While most players might be turned off at first from using them due to Vampire’s weakness to silver, causing you to die by simply holding them, knowing what to do with them and how to use them can help you immensely in the long run of the grand adventure. Unlike more simple resources like cotton and paper, Silver Coins require a little more background knowledge to fulfill their purpose. In this guide, you will learn exactly everything you need to know about how Silver Coins are used in V Rising.

What Are Silver Coins Used For In V Rising

The primary use for Silver Coins is to be traded or purchase items. While you still have low silver resistance at the start of the game, holding the currency will kill you, so make sure to save them in your stash, not your inventory. Any Silver Coins you collect early on will be the currency you will have available on hand when you can hold them in your inventory. The merchants that accept Silver Coins for trade are the Human merchants. These merchants and other humans will attack you unless you are able to gain the ability to revert to human form after defeating Beatrice the Tailor, who is a level 38 boss in V Rising. This form will allow you to trade freely with other humans and handle all the silver you have stockpiled without worry.

V Rising: How To Salvage

After gaining this power, you can find human merchants wandering the map, so if you see them, walk up to them once you change into a human and trade as much as you like. The other method to handle the currency is to craft silver resistance potions, a recipe drop from the level 60 boss Raziel, The Shepard. Since this is a late-game boss, it might not be as optimal of a method as just regaining human form and using the Silver Coins in that manner. With a decent amount of Silver Coins to use in your inventory and the knowledge on how to use the valuable currency safely, you are that much closer to conquering the world of V Rising.

V Rising is now available as Early Access on PC via Steam.
