Explosives are a very important tool in V Rising as they are able to destroy many obstacles, such as walls and doors as well as Massive Resource Veins. Despite being so useful, Explosives are not available to the player at the start of the game and are unlocked upon beating a certain boss in the game. Luckily, the process of getting explosives in the game is pretty straightforward. This guide will show players how to unlock Explosives in V Rising.

How To Unlock Explosives In V Rising

In order to create Explosives, players need to construct the Alchemy Table. To get the blueprint for the Table, you will first need to defeat Clive the Firestarter, one of the game’s V Blood Carrier bosses, who will also give you the recipe to craft the Minor Explosive box. To encounter this fight, you need to build a Blood Altar, a structure you use to track and find V Blood Carrier bosses, which includes Clive. You will be rewarded with the blueprint for the Blood Altar when you complete the “Getting Ready For The Hunt” Quest, which includes constructing and interacting with a Sawmill and a Simple Workbench while also increasing your gear level to 15. With the blueprint for the Blood Altar, it can now be built using 180 Stone and 10 Blood Essence. Interacting with the Altar will allow you to select a V Blood Carrier that you want to pursue. In order to track Clive, you will need to get your gear to level 34. Once you start to track Clive, you will find him in the Bandit Sulphur Quarry in the west part of the Farbane Woods. Defeating him will get you the blueprint for the Alchemy Table, which you can build back at your castle. This is where you will be able to make a Minor Explosive box and unlock Explosives.

V Rising: Where to Find Paper

To build the Alchemy Table, you will need 12 Sulphur, 16 Planks, and 100 Blood Essence. With the Structure built, you can now make explosives at the table by making the Minor Explosive box which will require 8 Sulphur, 9 Planks, and 4 Whetstones. Defeating Clive will also reward you with a new power called Veil of Chaos as well as multiple structure blueprints along with the Alchemy Table, which are the Enchanted Braziers and the Enchanted Torches. You can also get the Sulphur recipe along with the Minor Explosive Box.
