Fighting and defeating challenging enemies on your own is very satisfying, especially in V Rising. The monsters, vampires, and humans you can cross swords with are tough opponents that shouldn’t be taken lightly. Defeating the Ferocious Bear has proven to be a dangerous challenge for many players in V Rising, even when they have backup. Fortunately, by analyzing its attacks for a bit and taking its weaknesses into consideration, the battle can be a breeze. So what exactly are the skills and powers of the Ferocious Bear that has slain so many vampires?
Location of the Ferocious Bear
If you’d like to fight this powerful boss, you’d first have to find him. The Ferocious Bear is waiting in the furthest reaches of eastern Farbane Woods. The location is fittingly named ‘Bear Cave,’ and it just requires the player to walk around the southern side of the mountain.
If the protagonist has a gear level of 36, they can track the beast from the Blood Altar in their base. If your level is lower than that, you should not even attempt fighting this V Blood. It will assuredly end in a quick death.
Defeating the Ferocious Bear
The damage that this boss can deal is huge. It can kill experienced vampires in just a few hits. The only way to get over this hurdle is to dodge its tackles every time it happens. Otherwise, prepare to restart over and over again.
Its main mechanics involve a Ground Slam with a large round area of attack, followed by a rain of boulders. When these boulders start falling, the bear will approach the player quickly and start hitting him. It can also use a Charge skill that can take most of its challenger’s health. The Ferocious Bear also buffs himself at some point with a frightening roar, followed by a succession of basic attacks.
The only way for someone to evade this monster is to time their dodges and use projectile magic to chip at its health. Using the Crimson Aegis also helps in case you can’t get out of the way in time for one of the Charges.
Once you’ve defeated him, you will gain access to the Bear Form skill. This will allow the player to break through tough blockades and various objects. The Fur Rugs will also be unlocked as a building recipe, turning your castle into a real cozy home.
