Pokémon GO fans can now get their plans for next month’s Community Day in order because we have the updated times for the next Community Day event.

Announced on pokémongolive.com, the timing of the Community Day depends on which hemisphere you are in and your local time zone.

For the January Community Day, the event times are as follows:

  • Northern Hemisphere—Sunday, January 19, 2020, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in your local time zone
  • Southern Hemisphere—Sunday, January 19, 2020, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in your local time zone

These times will help ensure the safety of the players participating, and the team reminds any players along the equator might be impacted by the split by hemisphere, and for those players to plan accordingly.

There hasn’t been any word on which Pokemon will receive an increased spawn rate during the event, but rumors say that the event will include Piplup, it’s its shiny forms, double catch XP, three hour lures, and half Egg Hatch distances.

More details should be released as we get closer to Jan. 19.

Pokémon GO is available now on Android and iOS.
