- The new logo is now official
Yesterday, OnePlus took to its official Weibo account to tease something new that was coming on March 18th with a post that simply read “New week, new life, new… 3.18”. While we were originally unsure of what the company could be hinting at, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has today posted on Weibo confirming that the company will be unveiling a new logo on March 18.

OnePlus has officially unveiled its new logo, confirming the leaked design. According to the company, the new curvilinear “1” is easier to read, while the weight of the logotype has been adjusted for better overall balance. The Plus sign (+) in the surrounding box has also been enlarged and is now more prominent, in a nod to the OnePlus community.
According to the company’s Global Creative Director, Mats Hakansson, “OnePlus is not changing who we are, but reinforcing what we stand for – the true spirit of Never Settle. We always design for our users. We feel that these changes maintain the iconic elements of our brand that are beloved by our staff and our community while injecting both excitement and balance into our visual identity”.
