- Apple to Assemble iPhone 12 in India
[Original article | 9th March, 12:03 pm] – Since the past year or so, Apple has gained a ton of traction in India. The Cupertino giant started assembling the iPhone SE 2020 and the iPhone 11 in India to avoid paying the hefty import duty. Now, the Cupertino giant is planning to manufacture its latest flagship smartphone, the iPhone 12, in India to boost its sales in the country.

In line with recent reports, Apple has confirmed that it will start assembling iPhone 12 in India. The Cupertino giant will assemble only the standard iPhone 12 and no other model, including the iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro, and the iPhone 12 Pro Max in the country.
“Apple is dedicated to making the best products and services in the world to delight our customers. We are proud to be starting production of iPhone 12 in India for our local customers,” said an Apple spokesperson.
Foxconn, the company’s well-known contract manufacturer, will shoulder the task of assembling the iPhone 12 for the Indian market.
