Undungeon is an action role playing game developed by Laughing Machines and published by tinyBuild. The description on the game’s Steam store page calls Undungeon “an action role-playing experience that brings back the spirit of old school action/RPGs wrapped in modern design”. At the time of its release, Undungeon was only available on PC and Xbox. Now, however, this “old school” game is extending its reach to the other major players in this modern gaming world. Undungeon is now available on PS4 and Nintendo Switch.
Undungeon brings its action RPG gameplay to PS4 and Nintendo Switch
Now that the game is coming to new platforms, PS4 and Switch gamers might wonder: What exactly is Undungeon? Thankfully, today’s press release has you covered with a summary of events leading up to the start of the game.
“Time and space have fractured, leading to The Shift–an entanglement of dimensions and direct result of seven versions of Earth colliding together. As existence starts slowly fading away, The God of the Void creates the Herald, a messenger-warrior to enforce the god’s will in the mortal world, stop The Shift, and restore the universe to its right form.”
In other words, the universe is in peril and the Herald has to fix it. As you might have gathered, Undungeon follows the Herald on this journey. As the Herald, the player must traverse various landscapes, fighting enemies in real-time and upgrading everything from weapons and armor to the Herald’s internal organs. Laughing Machines is excited to bring this experience to new players.
