This June at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles, Naughty Dog is getting ready to wow convention goers with Uncharted 3. Jacob Minkoff of Naughty Dog said the developer is prepping to “blow you away” with the third installment of the franchise. Minkoff claims that Drake’s Deception “outdoes Uncharted 2 in every way possible“.
This is an extremely tall order. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves was one of the most critically adored games of all time. The game ushered in the next generation experience for the PlayStation 3 showing what was possible on the console. Minkoff told our source in a recent interview that “Uncharted 2 was a once in a lifetime experience”. “You can’t hope to have such incredible synergy of amazing people working together, creating this genre-defining product.”
Therefore, Minkoff believes we’ll be getting two chances of a lifetime this generation, first with Uncharted 2, and this fall with Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception.
“We’ll have a lot of really exciting stuff to show people at E3. I’m not really allowed to say more about where we are but, trust me, we’re going to blow you away at E3.”
Drake will search for the Atlantis of the Sands in the heart of the Arabian Desert in Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception this fall exclusively on the PlayStation 3 this November. We’ll be in L.A. this summer at E3 to give you this news as it unfolds.
