Netflix is expanding its mobile game catalog by adding Ubisoft games as it works to develop its gaming business. Ubisoft and Netflix collaborate on the three games only those with Netflix subscribers can access. Furthermore, these games include a brand-new Assassin’s Creed mobile title.
New Assassin’s Creed Mobile Game is On the Way
The publisher announced the Netflix partnership during its Ubisoft Forward event. Valiant Hearts 2, Mighty Quest 2, and a new Assassin’s Creed mobile game will be new titles for Netflix Games. According to Ubisoft, there will be no ads or in-app purchases for any of these games.
The first game in the collaboration will be a follow-up to the puzzle-adventure Valiant Hearts, which is set during World War I. The new tale will debut in January 2023. The second game, Mighty Quest, will offer Netflix subscribers a hack-and-slash adventure with roguelike influences. This game will release in 2023 as well.
Moreover, finally, there’s big news for Assassin’s Creed fans. Ubisoft says an original Assassin’s Creed mobile game is under development for Netflix Games.

This partnership is worth-noting because the goal of Netflix is to increase the number of games available through its service, and it believes it will help it counteract the drop in customers earlier this year. Last month, app tracking group Apptopia said only 2.3 million users play the games on Netflix daily. When we consider the daily users of the application, 2.3 million is a big failure for a feature launched with big hopes.
The anticipated release date is 2023. However, few details are available about the new games. Netflix also hopes to have a library of more than 50 titles available for users by the end of 2022. There are more than 50 indie games on the platform, but the number isn’t enough, or the users are not interested in the feature.
On the other hand, Netflix has been busy acquiring game development companies like Boss Fight Entertainment, Next Games, and Night School Studio.
