Ubisoft mainly releases its games on Ubisoft Connect and Epic Games Store. The company isn’t interested in releasing its games on Steam since 2019. As gamers, installing multiple store clients to our computers isn’t something we love. But an unignorable number of big studios started releasing their games in their own stores—Ubisoft Connect, Epic Games Store, Origin (closed), GOG, etc. It’s great to see the same game on multiple stores, and it seems like Ubisoft has started understanding this. The studio quietly brought a few of its games to Steam, some of which will be released soon. Those aren’t the new games; they were already released in different stores. But Steam users will be playing them without any other clients. Here are the other Ubisoft games hitting Steam.
Ubisoft Quietly Brings More Games To Steam
As GamesRadar noticed first, Ubisoft didn’t announce the release dates for most. The Division 2 and Scott Pilgrim vs The World will be released in January, but the others are unclear. We will probably learn about the other release as the dates approach. Those games are already released on different platforms, and if you’re wondering about the details, you can reach them with a few clicks. The actual thing we wonder about is the games’ Steam release dates.
This isn’t the first quiet release for Ubisoft. The studio also released Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla on Steam in the past. As we wish it’s true, Ubisoft might get warmer to Steam in the future. Surely, the studio will keep releasing its games on Ubisoft Connect and other platforms. But Steam is most likely essential for gaming, and sometimes we just like to be in touch with our Steam buddies or buy games from the Steam Wallet.
