Ubisoft has announced that it will be opening a new dev studio in the city of Da Nang in Vietnam. The new studio that will be run by Aurélien Palasse will focus on mobile games and will complement Ubisoft’s mobile presence in Asia. The new studio plans to employ 100 devs over the next three years.

In a press release, Executive-Director of Ubisoft Mobile Jean-Michel Detoc said:

Aurélien Palasse, Studio Manager added:

This new Vietnam based studio will focus on a type of game known as ‘Insant Games1′ which is powered by the HTML 5 technology which will be available for several social media platforms. This new way of accessing games has proved significantly popular over the last few years with millions of daily users worldwide.

Since the plans to open this new studio, Ubisoft has begun discussions with local institutions such as universities to establish new connections within the region.
