It looks like Ubisoft is turning away from gen7 consoles with almost all of their major franchises.  The company recently dished details about its financial condition, an earnings call where Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot revealed that the publisher will not be making games for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 with the one exception of the Just Dance series.

Speaking of which, Ubisoft revealed yesterday that they’ve got something up their sleeve for the coming year, though they’ve yet to drop any hints as to what it may be.  Where it won’t be heading is the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3.

We’ll have to wait and see if other publishers jump on this trend, the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 have been available now for a year and a half.  Both have gotten off to great starts in terms of sales, and have continued to see increasing installed bases, giving Ubisoft the option to transition away from older hardware.
