The biggest news from Ubisoft at E3 2018.
Ubisoft traditionally has strong E3 showings by any means necessary. In recent years they’ve stolen the E3 show with new IP like WatchDogs and The Division. Last year it was the reveal of Beyond Good and Evil 2. What will we hear this year?
It’s expected that we’ll hear a lot more about Ubisoft’s known quantities. This includes more from Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and The Division 2. There’s also plenty of room for Ubisoft to reveal more about Skull & Bones, The Crew 2, and perhaps we’ll hear more about Beyond Good and Evil 2.
Some are expecting a Splinter Cell announcement at the show. We’ll find out soon enough, the Ubisoft E3 2018 Press Conference starts at 4PM ET.

Ubisoft E3 2018 Highlights
Just Dance 2019
As is par for the course when it comes to E3 Press Conferences Ubisoft used a musical number to reveal the release date for Just Dance 2019. The game will arrive on schedule with a release this fall. This year’s reveal cut the star power and relied instead on a person in a panda suit.
Beyond Good and Evil 2
A cinematic trailer was revealed for Beyond Good and Evil 2, after which two developers on the game talked a bit more about the game. In the trailer Uma, Jade, Callum, and Chief Cook. Pre-Alpha gameplay was shown that gives us a first look at the game, which is described as an open world with multiple types of gameplay.

Rainbow Six Siege
Ubisoft touts RB6 Siege has over 35 million players and discusses some of the new operators and Operation Parabellum.
Trials Rising
A Trials developer took the stage in a SuperDave stuntman costume to reveal a new Trials game. The gameplay showcased looked like this would be a return to form for the series, which last saw a futuristic take. Revealed as “Trials Rising” the game will feature a closed beta later this year.
The release date for the game was revealed as February 2019 on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
The Division 2
Julian Gerighty took the stage at Ubisoft’s E3 Press Conference to explain in further detail what to expect from The Division 2. As had been revealed at Microsoft’s Press Conference, The Division 2 takes place seven months after the outbreak Washington D.C. is the focal point for this sequel. Ubisoft reveals that there will be a more story-based campaign where you’re actions impact the world. Once players reach the end of the campaign they will move down a new progression path for Specialization which offer unique weapons for different paths.
It’s also been announced that Raids are coming to the Division and Ubisoft says that up to 8-players will be able to team-up for the game’s toughest challenges. Gerighty says that they have years of DLC planned for the game. Year One will feature a mixture of title updates, world events, and episodes. This content will be released free for everyone.
The release date for the game is set for March 15th, 2019.
Mario + Rabbids
Talked about the upcoming release of Donkey Kong DLC for Mario + Rabbids on the Switch. The downloadable content is slated to hit Nintendo Switch on June 26th.
Skull & Bones
Ubisoft hasn’t said much about their pirate game since last year’s E3, but with a year behind them they had much more to show here. Skull & Bones Creative Director Justin Farren talked briefly about the game explaining more about this online focused pirate game.
Farren says that players will hunting down treasure in Indian Ocean. Skull & Bones is a shared world game where players can choose team-up to hunt treasure or battle each other. A longer gameplay demo showcases a pirate den with a shipyard that players can select their crew, ship, weapons, and other customization features for the mission. Each mission will have fortunes attached to it that implement things like weather that can help you.

Transference
That psychological thriller that was shown at E3 2017 returned with a little more polish than last year. Transference will plunge players into the experiment of a mentally disturbed scientist where they live a corrupted digital simulation. Coming to both VR and traditional platforms in Fall 2018.
Starlink
Ubisoft Toronto’s foray into the world of toys to life with Starlink is revealed in further detail. Last year Ubisoft revealed their plans and this franchise. Starlink is an open world game showcased in a trailer. Ubisoft has also teamed up with Nintendo again for a Star Fox crossover into the world. Nintendo Switch owners of Starlink will be able to play as Starfox in the game. Ubisoft also showed off a prototype of the Starfox physical toy that will presumably be available for purchase.
Starlink will launch on all consoles on October 16th, 2018.
For Honor
For Honor Starter Edition is Free on PC via Uplay from June 11th through June 18th. It was also announced that For Honor would be getting a new content with a 4v4 Multiplayer Mode called Breach.
The Crew 2
A lot is already known about The Crew 2 as it’s release date is later this month. The game features a bunch of different motorsports aspects which includes cars, planes, boats, motorcyles, and more. The open beta for The Crew 2 will begin on June 21st and can be pre-loaded starting today on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
The full release for The Crew 2 is June 29th on all platforms.
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey
The first gameplay and story details for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey have been revealed. As expected the game is set in Ancient Greece around 400 B.C. where players will control a brand new main character. Players will be able to choose a character between Alexios and Cassandra each will use the Broken Spear of Leonidas in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Sharing the bloodline of a Spartan hero, you’ve been passed down a great spear as revealed via a trailer.
As also rumored, the game will feature dialogue options that change the reactions of characters in the world. Ubisoft continues to show that they are transforming the Assassin’s Creed series into a full blown role playing game that has more choice than before.
