Gerighty stated that 2023 will be “huge” for Ubisoft Massive and included a Star Wars title screen. While it seems unlikely that the game will be released this year, it’s possible that Ubisoft is preparing for some kind of reveal or trailer at least. He also confirmed that the game is in the early stages of development, which means we should not expect a release date anytime before 2024 at the earliest.

This theory is supported by a reply from The Game Awards official Twitter account, which simply included a pair of eyes, hinting that we may see more of the game at a Geoff Keighley event like Summer Games Fest or The Game Awards at the end of this year. As for the game’s current state of development, Ubisoft Massive recently announced that it is seeking playtesters in Malmö, suggesting that the developer has playable sections that are being refined.
Until we have official word from Ubisoft Massive, we will have to wait to see what the game looks like and how development is progressing. In the meantime, fans can look forward to the release of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor on March 17, 2023.
