Services for classic Ubisoft games, including Assassin’s Creed 2, Far Cry 3, Ghost Recon Future Soldier, and Anno 2070, will be shut down by Ubisoft in September. Most of the games on the list are getting a little stale, but the three-year-old VR game Space Junkies is also being removed. This means that you will no longer be allowed to play as the game is multiplayer only. While the single-player features of these games may continue to be available after September 1st, multiplayer modes or online functionality may be affected as well as the purchased DLC.
Ubisoft Ends Support for 15 Games
Ubisoft will stop supporting many of its classic titles, including Assassin’s Creed 3, Brotherhood, and Liberation. Ends of support mean all multiplayer features will be disabled, blocking access to any DLC. Due to the end of support, numerous games, including Far Cry 3, Silent Hunter 5, and Splinter Cell: Blacklist, will no longer have their DLCs playable from September 1st.
According to the Ubisoft blog post, remastered versions and DLCs of Far Cry 3 and Assassin’s Creed 3 will continue to be playable. Also, their online installation will not be lost, as they are separate from their original titles.

- Splinter Cell: Blacklist
- ZombiU
Online services for classic Ubisoft games also end the rewards via Ubisoft Connect. Earlier in April, Ubisoft announced that they shut down 90 classic game servers.
