Ubisoft announced that Far Cry 6 would be free from August 4th to August 7th. Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, and PC players can try out the most recent action title of the franchise for free. The Danny Trejo, Rambo, and Stranger Things content will be free this weekend. Also, the price of Far Cry 6 will be discounted by 60%.

How to Play Far Cry 6 for Free (July 4-7)

Far Cry 6 is now available for download on all platforms except Xbox. Significantly extending the game’s content, including Rambo, Danny Trejo, and Stranger Things, will be available to players. Ubisoft is also holding a photo mode contest. This contest is open through August 12th, a bit longer than the free weekend. Among other prizes, photo mode contest winners could get an AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT graphics card.

“This blockbuster free weekend, save Yara, fight with Danny Trejo, go Rambo style, play our Stranger Things event, and so much more,” Ubisoft said. “A photo mode contest will also be underway, looking for the best summer vibe photo or video to be shared to TikTok, Instagram, or Twitter.”

Far Cry 6 is submerged in a contemporary guerilla revolution’s frantic, adrenaline-fueled atmosphere. The game is set in Yara, a tropical haven stuck in time. Anton Castillo, the dictator of Yara, and his bloodthirsty son Diego are both determined to use whatever means necessary to bring their country back to its former grandeur. The game delivers an estimated 60 hours of playtime with all of its features. So, a free weekend appears to be an excellent opportunity to play Far Cry 6 if you don’t already own it.

Players who want to continue their progress after the weekend can take advantage of the discount. Ubisoft will offer Far Cry 6 to players at a 60% discount. Far Cry 6 is available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, and PC through Epic Games.
