Tyler Perry has made a revelation about attempting suicide in the wake of Stephen “tWitch” Boss’ death. Perry paid an emotional tribute to DJ tWitch who had committed suicide at the age of 40.

On Thursday, the 52-year-old actor took to his Instagram to share his experiences in an attempt to uplift those “struggling” or “going through hard times.”
Tyler Perry was shocked to hear the news of tWitch’s death as it came as a surprise to everyone. The actor revealed that he only met the dancer a few times, but every time he did, the DJ always seemed “like such a light.”
The producer then decided to reveal that there were times in his life when he attempted to take his life. Perry had felt stuck in a place of darkness. The dad of one also “endured so much pain and abuse. He shared:

Perry then continued by expressing the fact that if any of his attempts at suicide were successful, he “would’ve missed the best part of my life.” The movie maker urged those passing through challenges to reach out to someone for help. The Single Mom Club actor emphasized that “It may seem like there’s no hope.” However, putting a call to someone, an opening up, might help leave that dark place.
Perry revealed a lesson he learned from his experiences. The Madea star feels that sometimes the pain felt at that dark point is a “buy-in.” He further revealed that if he had given up, he would not have seen the better part of his life.
That was the only way the actor was able to rationalize his situation, as he felt “there’s got to be something better.” The actor urged people who are going through hardship in life to not “let the darkness stop you from getting to this incredible place of life.”
Stephen “tWitch” Boss was found dead in a hotel room in California. Allison Holker, tWitch’s wife had reported the dancer missing on Monday. tWitch was found dead with a “self-inflicted gunshot wound” to the head on 13 December, at the age of 40.
