Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon and F1 2014 hit Xbox One Backwards Compatibility today according to a new announcement from Microsoft. These two games represent just another drop in the massive bucket that is the Xbox One feature. Over 395 Xbox 360 games are now available to be played on the newer console, as the years old feature inches closer to another major milestone.
While these two new games might not be bombshells by themselves, with fans still anxiously waiting for some of the 360’s bigger titles, but they do push the Xbox One Backwards Compatibility list closer to 400 games. Microsoft has done exceptionally well at supporting this feature, adding games at a steady pace and making sure to hit all genres and development levels.
We’ve seen massive AAA titles like Assassin’s Creed and Call of Duty, and we’ve also seen smaller games such as Earth Defense Force and a huge slate of indie games. Fans might prefer the bigger games, but these small titles help flesh out the list, giving players who enjoyed these games before the chance to play them once again.
Either the next set of releases or the one after will push the Xbox One Backwards Compatibility list over the 400 game mark. Will Microsoft have a big, highly anticipated game ready for the milestone?
